It’s happened to all of us at one time or another. You find yourself staring at the blank canvas or paper and inspiration just isn’t showing up. Here are a few ways you can tame that artist block monster - and get some work done!

  1. Take a break: Sometimes, taking a break and doing something completely unrelated to art can help to refresh your mind and rekindle your creativity.

  2. Experiment with new materials: Trying out new art materials or techniques can help to spark new ideas and inspire your creativity.

  3. Collaborate with other artists: Collaborating with other artists can help to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to your work.

  4. Get feedback: Getting feedback from other artists or from an art teacher or mentor can help you to identify areas for improvement and generate new ideas.

  5. Look for inspiration in nature: Nature can be a great source of inspiration for artists. Take a walk outside or visit a botanical garden to find new ideas.

  6. Set challenges or goals for yourself: Setting challenges or goals for yourself can help to push you out of your comfort zone and inspire new ideas.

  7. Keep a sketchbook: Keeping a sketchbook handy to jot down ideas or sketch out rough drafts can help to keep your creative juices flowing and generate new idea.
